Deb McCormick has her B.A. in Speech Communication from Louisiana Tech University (minor in marketing) and a masters’ in Communications Consultancy from Oklahoma State University coupled with extensive executive training and/or certification in sales, leadership and creative thinking strategies with companies such as DDI, Learning International, Bergerac Group, Covey Leadership, Vital Smarts, and de Bono.

In addition to teaching at McNeese as a Visiting Lecturer, Deb owns TEAMed UP, a consulting firm designed specifically to help teams think and work better together. Prior to founding TEAMed UP, she was Director of Organizational Effectiveness with HDI Consulting in Dallas and Consulting Director for Johnson and Johnson’s international in-house consulting team. Deb specializes in leadership and team skill training, experiential team building retreats, and innovative meeting facilitation focused on strategic planning, creative brainstorming, program or process evaluation, and problem solving. She is a graduate of Sulphur High School (Go Tors!) and she and her husband, Mark, and their three boys moved back to SWLA in 2005. www.teamedupconsulting.com
